This piece was created during my time as a graduate student at Tulane University. During my time there I began to integrate textiles into the compositions of my portrait works. My use of textiles stemmed from interest in quilting. Historically quilts have been tool for resting. In this piece I imagine the textiles as moments of visual rest for the viewer.
